Frequently Asked Questions

 Can I join anytime?
If you are interested in joining our club please contact Sifu Dr. Jerry Pyrozko
What should I wear?
Full length black sweat pants (no shorts please) , and our club t-shirt.  A light pair of court shoes or kung fu shoes if you have them.  No street shoes please. Some students prefer to train in bare feet.
Are there different grade levels?
Yes. We are a traditional school and we use red sashes in accordance with the traditional way. All students wear a red sash once they have learned the first form. Different levels are indicated by the addition of stripes to the red belt.  There are also levels of black sash. The highest level being that  of  a Master. In any school there will only be one Grand Master.  In our school it is Grand Master Mark Chan Wah.
Do I have to pay for getting promoted?
No. There is no extra cost for grading.
Can I watch a class without joining?
Yes, you are always welcome
I don’t feel physically fit. Can I still join?
You should discuss this with Sifu and if you have a medical concern, you should check with your doctor prior to training.
Can I try a class to see how I like it?
You are welcome visit us and a watch a class and ask questions at any time. We no longer offer a free trial class as it takes time away from our normal class flow.  Sifu is glad to answer any questions and will discuss the classes with you. We do not accept everyone as a student.
Are there family rates?
Yes. More than one family member may be accepted as a student and enjoy the benefits of practicing kung fu. The first family member is full fee. UP TO TWO Additional MEMBERS OF THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY will be offered a discount fee of $70.00 per month.
What are the hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs. There are no contracts to sign. The only costs are your tuition, uniform and sash.
