Green Dragon Kung Fu (Edmonton) was founded in 1971 by Sifu Chan Wah.  Following intense training since the age of 8 from his grandfather, Grand Master Wong Cheun Yip,  and incorporating the teachings of other notable Masters, Sifu Chan created Green Dragon to promote and spread the Toisan fighting arts.  Under his tutelage Green Dragon has grown immensely with branch clubs spreading across Canada, the United States and Britain, with the headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta.  We teach a variety of martial systems, complete with both open hand and weapons training.  It is our mission to continue the Toisan traditions and so our emphasis is on practicality and authentic techniques, striving to be better today than we were yesterday.  We are dedicated to the fighting arts and we push our students to be respectful, humble and the best practitioners they can be.
